ECDL 2006 invites submissions of tutorial proposals. Tutorials are intended to present a topic in detail over either a half-day or a full day, to be held on Sunday September 17th. Short abstracts of the accepted tutorials will be published in the conference program guide. Copies of the presentation slides will be required for distribution to the tutorial attendees.

Important dates

Tutorial submission: March 3 March 11, 2006
Notification of acceptance: April 22, 2006
Final abstracts: June 2, 2006

Instructions for authors

The proposals are to be emailed.

All tutorial proposals should include:

  1. Tutorial title, presenters' name, affiliation, e-mail and URL of the respective home page (if available).
  2. Duration of the tutorial: half- of full-day.
  3. The expected experience level for the audience: introductory, intermediate, advanced.
  4. A short abstract (1-2 paragraphs) stating the main goal.
  5. The outline of the tutorial, including its main components and a timeline. Each component should be described using 10-15 lines.
  6. A list of related references (max 10).
  7. In case this tutorial has been presented before (or is under consideration for presentation), please state where and when.
  8. A short biographical sketch of the presenter(s) (10-20 lines/presenter).
  9. Audio-visual equipment required.

If the presenter(s) cannot provide his/her own computer/laptop for the presentation, please contact the Tutorial Chairs.
